Partners in Education

The Partners in Education program offers many ways for organizations to assist in the process of creating Highly Effective Education. The corporate sponsor provides a generous tax-deductible donation (see amounts in the table below) and CFPE identifes an educational entity in need of additional funding sources for services. In this way, we are Partners in Education for highly effective teaching and learning. We look forward to establishing relationships with individuals, corporations, and foundations.

Some of the options offered may include services which are briefly described below:

Library of Resources
The Library of Resources may include Highly Effective Education-related books, handbooks, wall poster sets, music resources, videos/DVDs, and other resource materials.

Climate Assessment
The Climate Assessment is designed to observe the school’s emotional and physical environment, view academic engagement, collect data, interview members of the leadership team, and visit classrooms. This day can also be used as a networking opportunity for district administration, school board, and/or elected officials. This service should be scheduled during a regular school day.

Parent & Community Member Workshop
The Parent & Community Member Workshop is designed to build parent and community knowledge which support the Highly Effective Education process and answer questions. This service should be scheduled early in the year during a coaching visit or near the conclusion of Model Teaching Week to observe student learning.

BodyBrain Basics
BobyBrain Basics is an introductory workshop, which is foundational to introducing bodybrain research and implementation strategies. We recommend scheduling this 2-to-3-day workshop (based on the number of participants) as early as possible, allowing all staff members the opportunity to attend and implement the strategies within the classrooms.

On-Site Coaching
On-Site Coaching is performed by a Highly Effective Education Associate. The first coaching session assists with classroom set-up before school begins then continues throughout the year. This is an invaluable and necessary service, which has proven to be most successful while implementing a process of change for creating highly effective schools.

Power Pack Sessions
Power Pack Sessions are selected from a list of Highly Effective Teaching topics of immediate need as determined by the coach. Power Packs are scheduled as needed, preferably during a professional development or in-service day.

Model Teaching Week
Model Teaching Week is a unique training that is very effective in every educational setting. This innovative event provides the opportunity for teachers to observe students in classrooms where a bodybrain-compatible environment has been created while implementing instructional strategies and utilizing conceptual curriculum. This training event is scheduled during the summer while implementing the Highly Effective Education program.

National Events
Schools Exceeding Expectations (SEE) is a conference held in early Spring. Participants may visit Highly Effective Schools at various levels of implementation and receive the most current, updated information on brain-compatible learning. Attendance to this event is required for teacher leaders who will be serving an internship during Model Teaching Week.

Summer Institute is the introductory training event to the Highly Effective Education program. Held at the beautiful Granlibakken Resort near Lake Tahoe, California, this event offers three days of highly interactive sessions designed to build the skills necessary to meet the challenges and requirements of today’s standards, benchmarks, and mandates.

The Pacific Northwest Brain Conference provides the opportunity for participants to join the experts in cognitive neuroscience and education. Selected speakers present the most recent findings in brain research and translate them into powerful new teaching solutions that enhance learning, foster students development, and raise achievement levels. This event is held at the Center for Human Brain and Human Learning near Seattle, Washington.
