The Center for the Future of Public Education (CFPE) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. Established in 1990, CFPE has partnered with many like-minded organizations for the purpose of creating highly effective educational experiences and opportunities, for students, instructors, and administrators, within formal and informal educational programs as well as for parents and other community members.

Our mission is to support communities
through innovative and beneficial programs
that foster responsible citizenship.

We do this in practical and relevant ways by:

analyzing ongoing research with its implications for learning in public, private, and self-directed schools,
developing recommendations regarding how educational entities may become highly effective for students and staff, appropriate for the perpetuation of a democratic society, and encourage economical efficiency,
providing training for those who work within, around, and for educational environments as they seek to gain understanding,
providing support for relevant education through science and the arts, and
including resource training and support for students of all ages at work, at home, and at school
