Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is CFPE?
A: CFPE (Center for the Future of Public Education) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a long and distinguished history. It began in California in 1989, moved to Arizona in 1990, relocated to Washington State in 1994, and has now returned to California. Its mission is two-fold:
- To support schools and leadership staff in utilizing neuroscience to improve student outcomes and to keep the Learning-Center School Model up to date with current brain research.
- To create replicable programs for addressing the needs of all students, especially underachieving learners, K-12, by using the LCS model to move through students through the four phases of learning
until concepts and skills
are wired into long-term memory and thus significantly reduce the need, and
cost, for remediation.
Q: Who is CFPE?
